Configure Helm

Helm reaches Depsilo through helm repo add at the /helm/ route. One Depsilo Helm upstream maps to one chart repository; the chart source comes from server-side upstream configuration, not from a URL suffix.

Configure the client

helm repo add depsilo http://localhost:23333/helm/
helm repo update
helm search repo depsilo | head

For multiple chart repositories, configure one upstream per repository and give each a distinct local repo name. Do not assume that a path such as /helm/<name> switches upstreams.

Verify requests

1. Check that the instance is ready

   curl -fsS http://localhost:23333/ready

2. Pull a chart

   helm pull depsilo/<chart> --untar --destination /tmp/depsilo-helm

3. Confirm the traffic in Admin

   Check the /helm/ requests in Access logs; both index.yaml and the chart archive should pass through Depsilo.

Chart identity comes from the same upstream's index.yaml

Chart filenames cannot be split into name and version safely, so Depsilo resolves identity from the same upstream’s index.yaml and uses Last-Modified for release age. Enabling a positive threshold requires acknowledging that approximate source.
